Movie Town (Haikou)
Located next door to Mission Hills in Longhua district, Haikou, Movie Town’s streets mimic the appearance of old movie sets.
Established in 2011, the tourism spot integrates tourism, business and filmmaking. It is named after Feng Xiaogang, a world-renowned Chinese director.
The town covers an area of 930,000 square meters and consists of 1942 Street, Socialism Street, South China Sea Street, and more. Its buildings imitate the style of the Republic of China era.
It also includes theaters, restaurants, shops, and special performances.
1942 Street features settings from Feng’s movie “Back To 1942”, with period-architecture from the streets of Chongqing as the backdrop. It houses 91 buildings with different architectural styles from the period, creating a rich and authentic atmosphere.
Boao Forum for Asia Theme Park
With its nine courtyards and distinctive buildings, the Boao Forum for Asia Theme Park – in the coastal town of Boao in Hainan’s Qionghai city – opened to the public on April 19, allowing visitors to immerse themselves in the distinctive cultures of Asia and Hainan.
The Boao Forum for Asia – inaugurated in 2001 – is an organization that hosts high-level forums for leaders from government, business and academia in Asia and other continents to share their vision on the most pressing issues. The Boao Forum for Asia annual conference is set in Boao town.
Hainan Baishiling Tourism Scenic Area (Qionghai)
Hainan Baishiling Tourism Scenic Area, one of Hainan’s acclaimed tourist attractions, is located on the east of Hainan island.
The enchanting scenery of Baishiling has won it a reputation of offering “a unique view of Hainan” as well as “Hainan’s No 1 ridge”.
Baishiling allows visitors to discover the “Four wonders”, the “Eight mysteries” and the “Eight views”. The changing landscape creates an array of sights, and the jagged stones and deep caves add to the sense of mystery. People can climb up the ridge along the 1,308 steps to enjoy the intriguing tropical rain forest and the misty peaks. Atop Baishiling, the beautiful view slowly reveals the sea, the Wanquan River, the betel nut trees and the city views of Boao and Qionghai. This is also the best place to enjoy the sunset and sunrise.
The “Four wonders” of Baishiling refers to the wonderful ridge, water, stones and trees. The jagged stones create varying sights among the ever-moving mist and clouds; the sweet, clear water runs through the stones, forming lakes; the tropical landscape is reflected on the Wanquan River, and the hot springs are revered far and wide. The “Eight mysteries” and the “Eight views” include the Flying Stone, the Dangling Stone, the Fairy’s Footprint, the Fairy’s Chessboard, the Thousand-year-old Tree, the Three-colored Guanyin, the Cave of Cool Breezes and the Towering Tree.
Wuzhizhou Island (Sanya)
Wuzhizhou Island is known as Guqizhou in ancient times. It is located 30km away from Sanya downtown and 38 kilometers from Sanya Fenghuang International Airport. It is north or Nanwan Monkey Island and south to Yalong Bay. The island is 2,500 meters long from east to west and 1,100 meters wide from south to north. The highest cliff in its eastern and southern part is 79.9 meters above the sea level, while its western and northern sections are flat covered with the snowy beach. There are more than 2,000 varieties of plants on the island. The sea area around the island, especially in the south, teems with intact corals. Except for the beautiful tropical landscape, the exciting aquatic sports are another choice to experience this island.
